Eligibility & requirements
The Shay Legacy Foundation (Trucking Association of NY) offers several named scholarships for careers in trucking/transportation, not general high-school-senior scholarships: the Commercial Truck Driving Scholarship requires being 18+, an NY resident with a Class D+ NY driver's license, and proof of enrollment in a Federal Training Provider Registry school; the Albert T. DeRoose Memorial Scholarship requires the applicant (or an immediate family member) to be a Trucking Association of NY (TANY) member-company employee pursuing a baccalaureate degree.
