This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have additional rights described below.
We do not sell or share your personal information
FundMyFuture does not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We provide a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information mechanism as required by CCPA/CPRA, even though no selling or sharing currently occurs. Should that change, every submitted opt-out preference will be honored automatically.
Categories of personal information collected
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Sensitive personal information
Under CPRA, the following information we collect may be considered sensitive personal information: Heritage/Diversity and Faith-Based scholarship interest categories; GPA and standardized test scores; and account credentials (passwords, stored as hashed values we cannot read).
We use sensitive personal information only for the purpose of providing scholarship matching services. We do not use it for inferring characteristics, cross-context advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose. You may limit use of your sensitive personal information at any time.
Purposes for collecting and using personal information
- Providing and personalizing the scholarship matching service
- Processing subscriptions and payments (via Stripe)
- Sending account communications (login confirmations, password resets, service updates)
- Improving the platform (anonymized analytics)
- Complying with legal obligations
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, plus any period required by law. Account data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request. Anonymized analytics may be retained longer.
Your CCPA/CPRA rights
As a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
- Delete your personal information (with some exceptions).
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Limit the use of your sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about personal information we share with third parties for direct marketing. FundMyFuture does not share personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.
